Modus Engineering is currently looking for a Project Engineer for one of her clients in the chemical industry in Rotterdam, NL.
The company offers an innovative solution for purifying chemicals on the basis of crystallization. This technology removes the last impurities from the average hydraulic pressure, bringing harmful chemicals to a purity of 99.9%.
This is a vacancy for a permanent contract.
The Job: Project Engineer
The project engineer will make (together with the CTO) a well thought out design and deliver the correct documentation within the deadline and also execute and/or coordinate the engineering of the project
You develop strategies for continuous improvement of the pilot plant
You develop standard operating procedures for work instructions and documentation
You are responsible for coordinating upcoming test programs, looking at materials, risk analysis, planning, budget, primary interface and commercial-scale equipment
Assessing customer specifications and regulations and translating them into a guideline design for the project
Making an inventory of the documentation to be delivered to the customer and suppliers
Keeping track of the progress in the project and giving feedback on deadlines
Submitting the project plan to the team, suppliers and the customer
Transferring design information to the customer, suppliers and production. Ensuring the correct production information and adjusting production methods and work order
The Project Engineer is also responsible for input looking at the maintenance organization. Maintenance activities such as a spare part strategy and preventive measures to improve equipment reliability
At least a completed technical BSc or MSc education
Interested in a small but rapidly growing environment (scale-up)
Relevant experience in a mechanical/process engineering environment
Willingness to travel around Europe and the USA (1-2 weeks per year)
